001 Name and Classification 001. NAME AND CLASSIFICATION Section 1. Name The Board of School Directors shall be known officially as the Board of School Directors of Lewisburg Area School District, hereinafter referred to as the "board." School Director(s) shall be hereinafter referred to as "Director(s)." The school district shall be known officially as the School District of Lewisburg Area, hereinafter referred to as the "district." Section 2. Composition The district is comprised of lands that lie within the municipal boundaries of the Lewisburg Borough and East Buffalo, Kelly, and Union Townships. Section 3. Purpose The district is organized to provide a program of public education to serve the needs of the State of Pennsylvania. Section 4. Intermediate Unit The district is assigned to Intermediate Unit No. 16.Section 5. Classification The district is classified as a school district of the third class. Section 6. Address The official address of the board and district is P.O. Box 351, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania 17837-0351. Section 7.
