Salary Determination
The salary schedule approved by the Board shall provide for determination of beginning salaries for new and inexperienced employees, beginning salaries for experienced employees who are new to the district, and salary adjustments that result from earning advanced degrees while employed by the district or required under law.

Salary schedules shall be in accordance with those specified in the collective bargaining agreement and as approved by the Board.

Increment Credit – Recognition Of Experience

The Board realizes that many professional staff members come from various backgrounds and experiences. In an effort to recognize these differences, the Board shall apply the following guidelines in the determination of an individual's salary and increments:

All previous experience with proper certification while under contract with a public school only shall be recognized, and credit shall be granted in computing proper salary to any newly hired member of the professional staff.

1. All newly hired professional staff members with less than one (1) full year of prior teaching service will be given credit on the following basis:

• 135 to 180 days in same position = 1 year credit

Transfer of Benefits

Employees new to the district may transfer up to fifty (50) sick days from a previous Public School District upon validation of the requested sick days from the employee’s previous employer.

No other benefits are transferable.
