Payroll Deductions
615. PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS

The Board may at its discretion act on behalf of individual employees to deduct a certain amount from the employee’s paycheck and remit an equal amount to an agent designated by the employee. It is the purpose of this policy to designate those purposes not otherwise mandated by law for which the Board is willing to act on behalf of the employee.
No deduction may be made from the wages of an employee except for federal or state income tax, county tax, social security and School Employees' Retirement Fund without proper authorization by the employee.
In addition to these above deductions from earnings required by law, any one or more of the following deductions will be made from an employee’s paycheck to the extent authorized by the employee in writing on a form to be provided by the administration:
Tax-sheltered Annuities.
Union County United Fund.
Premiums for income protection insurance, life insurance or other insurance plans approved by the Board.
Association Membership Dues.
Other approved deduction programs included in the bargaining agreement or as authorized by Director of Administrative Services.
