704. MAINTENANCE









The Board recognizes that on-going and preventative maintenance of the District's physical plant is essential for providing a safe environment for students and staff as well as for the efficient management of the District's facilities. Therefore the Board directs the Superintendent to implement the guidelines for the maintenance and repair of the District's physical plant.
1. A checklist for each building and surrounding grounds in the district shall be developed.
2. Using the checklists, each building principal, in conjunction with the head maintenance person in that building, shall conduct a physical inspection of the building and grounds on a monthly basis and submit a written report to the Superintendent regarding the findings of that inspection.
3. Athletic fields that are in current use shall be inspected at least weekly.4. The Superintendent shall report to the Board any items that need immediate correction in order to maintain a safe environment for students and staff.
5. Annually, the Superintendent shall report to the Board the status of the District's physical plant and make recommendations concerning needed repairs along with a proposed timeline for completing the repairs.
